SPECIAL PROGRAMS

In addition to the Normal Language Program, CIL offers courses designed for:

1) English or Spanish for Business Executives, vocabulary and expressions needed as well as cultural factors that are important when doing business with Foreigners or Hispanics.

2) Spanish for Medical Personnel vocabulary and expressions used in the field of health care. (All levels).

INTERNSHIP

This program combines courses and in fieldwork professional. A counsellor will arrange the best placement possible based on your education, experience and interests. The internship will help you to impove your Spanish skill within a Mexican work environment.

  And after classes?

The CIL includes guided tours around Mexico City and other parts of the country, with experienced guides who are well-known troughout Mexico as authorities in their field. These excursions include visit to museums, archaeological sites, colonial churches, monasteries, concerts, films, exhibitions and other events. The cost varies according to distance and place.

CLIMATE

The average temperature in Mexico city is 50º F to 75º F. Light clothes are normally adequate for day time, with sweaters and jackets for the evening. Heavier sweaters are recommended for the months of October thru February. Raincoats are recommended for the months of June thru September

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

The Center assumes no responsability for medical services. It will however refer the students to a clinic well known to the school with a good reputation in Mexico. It is suggested that students who have medical insurance in their home country request an extension of coverage for their stay in Mexico or obtain an insurance policy valid in this country.

ACCOMODATION

Students may stay in rooms rented from Mexican families or in hotels.


REGISTRATION

A registration fee of $100 USD must accompany each application for enrollment at CIL. It is non-refundable and not applicable toward tuition, but incurred only once. Total tuition may be paid in advance on Monday morning of the week in which the student starts the class. REFUNDS students who decide not to study in a given week due to an emergency may receive a credit for that week; however, we must be notified no later than Wednesday of the preceding week. There is a $30 USD charge for making a refund.
